What is NCP? If you’re a nursing student opting to serve full-time in the Navy, you could get up to $34,000 to help pay your way through nursing school through the Nurse Candidate Program (NCP). This includes: • An accession bonus of $20,000 for those who enter in the third year of their nursing degree program, or an accession bonus of $16,000 for those who enter in the fourth year of their nursing degree program. • Plus a stipend of $1,000 a month for up to 24 months
What does it take to qualify for this program?
1) Be a U. S. citizen.
2) Be physically qualified for commission
as a Naval Officer.
4) Letter of Acceptance that must indicate
applicant has been accepted to or currently
attending BSN program with no conditions.
NOTE: Online and on campus BSN programs
will be accepted and programs must be
accredited by CCNE or ACEN.
5) Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0
**Associate Degree Nurses are eligible to use the NCP program for approved ACEN/CCNE RN to BSN online programs**
