The State Water Resources Control Board’s (State Water Board) has an opening for a permanent full-time Senior Engineering Geologist (Specialist) in the Division of Water Quality’s Sustainable Water Plans and Policies Section. As the Integrated Water Resource Management Hydrogeology Specialist for the Division of Water Quality, you will work independently and collaboratively on projects and policies to equitably increase water resiliency in California while protecting ecosystems for future generations. Job duties require strong critical thinking and project management skills; expertise in hydrogeology, infiltration, and geochemical processes; and the ability to review and interpret data, technical reports, and engineering designs and plans for water supplies.

Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.
