HR Intern

Internship Summary

While interning at Boar’s Head you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with real projects.  In addition to working on live projects, you will also have the opportunity to participate in lunch in learns hosted by our Head of Learning and Development.  


Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

As an HR team member, you will be tasked with reviewing and organizing our current job description catalog. You will also work closely with our Talent Acquisition team to support corporate recruiting. You will have the opportunity to sit with our different HR Managers and learn the different areas of HR, such as Benefits, Employee Relations, Recruiting/Onboarding, Compensation, Training, and HRIS Management. 


  • Work closely with our Training and HR Managers to clean up our current job description catalog and match it with our career planning paths.
  • Conduct research analysis and benchmark how best to optimize the job descriptions to attract more candidates to our roles.
  • Receive training on how to navigate and work within Workday HRIS 
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand the skill sets needed for their open positions. 
  •  Evaluate applicant qualifications via the interview process
  • Assist with coordinating candidates throughout the interview and pre-employment processes.


Education and Experience 

  • Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Psychology, Human Resources, or another related field
  • Excellent organizational capabilities in order to plan, prioritize, and monitor multiple activities at once 
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all documentation, information, and processes 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well with a diverse employee population are essential.
