Metrology Engineer
Job Description
As a Photomask Metrology Engineer at MTC, you are responsible for maintaining and advancing MTCs capabilities in the fields of CD, Registration and Phase measurement, as well as Blank Inspection. You will work closely with a team of process and equipment engineers as well as the fab team to identify opportunities for improvement, and develop and implement solutions.
Requirements:
- B.S. or higher degree in Engineering field, Physics, Optics or Mathematics. Relevant work experience may be considered in absence of formal degree.
- Highly motivated with ability to work with little guidance
- Detail oriented, good troubleshooting skills
- Scripting / Programming experience is a plus
Process Engineering Work:
- Monitor production metrology reports for erroneous data, correct as needed
- Respond to day to day production issues, assist by troubleshooting recipe/tool/process flow issues
- Address possible root causes of poor outcomes (provide training, develop improved process, improve automation, etc.)
- Monitor SPC charts, respond to OOC/OOS conditions in a timely manner (calibrate tools, request vendor intervention, etc.)
- Coordinate with equipment engineers and vendors to maintain the tools in good working condition
- Research, develop and implement new measurement and inspection methods and technology to support MTCs roadmap
Training and Support for other teams:
- Create and maintain documentation to run area workflows (operations specs, BKMs, OCAPs, training checklists, etc.)
- Provide 1:1 training, assess skill levels and sign off OJT certs as applicable
- Assist with recipe creation, troubleshooting and running of difficult masks
- Provide expert insight and data analysis for other teams
- Test out new methods to try to meet the data collection needs of other areas (RnD, FEOL, etc.)
