School Psychologist
The School Psychologist is a professional certified position subject to tenure provisions. The role of the School Psychologist is to review, evaluate, revise, and implement pupil services to better meet the needs of students.
Responsibility Summary:
· Evaluate behaviors on the basis of clinical observations, interviews with students, teachers, other school staff and parents, reports of other professionals, review of school records and test results.
· Act as an effective liaison with various offices and agencies within the community that may provide specialized or professional help to students and their parent/guardian and serve as the referral agent to those offices and agencies.
· Consult with appropriate administration on school-related problems and activities.
· Analyze the psycho-educational strengths and needs of the individual child.
