Rotational Development Program - Global Marketing & Market Intelligence Analytics

Job Description

*Program to start in June 2024*

The goal of the Olympus Corporation of the Americas Rotational Development Program (OCA RDP) is to develop and train early talent through targeted rotational assignments and learning opportunities in one of our many business units and functions. 

Participants in the RDP will be immersed in hands-on training with functional subject matter experts and business leaders who will provide both mentoring and guidance throughout the program. This program is designed as a two-year rotation (three eight-month assignments) in a specific business area or corporate function. At the conclusion of the two-year program, the RDP participant will be placed full-time in one of the relevant rotational function areas, as determined by business need and as directed by executive management. 

 

Job Duties

The Rotational Development Program allows for a wide view of OCA business groups and shows the program participant how each area of the business function supports the overall company goals and strategies. Perform all other related duties as assigned. 

RDP participants will also participate in a series of learning activities centered around professional development and business acumen. 

The Rotational Development Program within TSD Global Marketing may consist of rotations in the following business areas, supporting our Urology/Gynecology teams: 

1. Global Marketing - Urology/Gynecology:

  • Develop strategic plans and drive alignment of plans, budgets, timelines, risk assessment, progress, and risk mitigation proposals. 
  • Act as product owner and implement product and portfolio strategy during development, planning, forecasting, production, and marketing at all stages of the product life cycle. 
  • Develop cross-functional relationships and collaboration practices with regional and shared-service counterparts to support Go-To-Market deliverables/requirements for new product launches and legacy product needs.

2. Regional Marketing- Urology/Gynecology: 

  • Create and implement the tactics that support the marketing strategies to include pricing, positioning, programs and promotions that are in line with the strategic plan. 
  • Monitor sales trends and market trends including competition, procedural / market growth, reimbursement, and emerging technologies and updating forecasts as necessary to meet demand. 
  • Create marketing collateral and tools to support the selling process.

3. Market Intelligence Analytics: 

  • Develop assessments and analytical insights on global market and competitive landscape, social and economic trends, provider trends, global and regional dynamics. 
  • Conduct analytics on customer segmentation, journey mapping, value proposition, persona to support product and marketing initiatives. 
  • Carry out economic research and financial analysis on cost, revenue, margin, value, and outcomes.

Specific tasks and departments subject to change based upon business need and interest area of the program participant. 

 

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science or Arts degree is required, with the degree being obtained no more than 24 months prior to the PDP cohort start date. Program is limited to undergraduate or graduate degrees only. 
  • Preferred fields of study include Business, Business Analytics, Marketing, Marketing Analytics, or related discipline. 
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without immigration-related work sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Proven academic excellence and a passion for continued learning is a must.

Preferred:

  • Must possess demonstrated leadership skills
  • Strong, professional communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize/execute multiple concurrent tasks
  • Skilled in presentation development and public speaking 

As a global medtech company, Olympus has a number of locations across the U.S. and internationally. Upon completion of the 2-year rotational program, participants may be required to relocate to another Olympus office for their full-time placement, based upon business need. Therefore, preference will be given to candidates who are open to future relocation.
