Qualcomm Automotive team is rapidly expanding to offer optimized solutions for infotainment and ADAS/Autonomous Driving. As a Automotive Engineering Intern you will be involved and participate in building best-in-class solutions and tools needed to enable state-of-the-art technologies for next generation platforms for autonomous vehicles. In this role, you will work in a dynamic environment, be part of a multi-disciplinary team of researchers and software developers, and collaborate with internal teams.
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. degree program in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field
- Must be available for 11 – 14 weeks during Summer 2024 (May-September) with a graduation date of December 2024 or later
Successful candidates will have experience in one or more of the following Automotive Tracks:
Automotive Software
- Embedded software driver development in C / C++ / Assembly with OS & Multi-processor concepts
- Experience in Positioning, Perception or Planning in ADAS/Autonomy
- Safety critical software development process (Functional Safety), including ASPICE, ASIL, ISO26262, MISRA C++, AUTOSAR C++
- ROS/ROS2, DDS, Adaptive AUTOSAR middleware and frameworks
Automotive Systems
- Programming in C/C++, C#, Python, Javascript, Java, Shell
- Robotics, Autonomous Driving, Lidar, Scene Segmentation, Object Detection
- Multi-Task Learning Networks or MTN networks
- Sensor Fusion, positioning, SLAM, motion planning
- SysML, Systems engineering and analysis
- Familiarity with MBSE/ system modeling
- System data-flows for MM & ML functions.
- Familiarity with ADAS/AD
- Familiarity with ISO26262/61508 standards
- Model based development, Safety Analysis, Semi-formal notation, DFMEA, FMEDA etc
- Experience or familiarity with any of the following tools: SysML, UML, UML-RT, Magic Draw, IBM Rhapsody, etc. Sparx Enterprise Architect (preferred)

Pay range:
$17.00 - $98.00
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
