CAD Technician Intern

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Responsible for the successful delivery of engineering projects that are performed in a manner that meets the technical requirements of the projects, are of the highest quality, and meet or exceed the schedule and budget needs of the project.

POSITION DUTIES:

• Applies sound drafting principals and standards in the creation of drawings and related documents for utility substation or transmission line designs

• Assures all project deliverables meet the technical requirements of the project

• Assures all project documents are properly entered into, and managed by, the Company document management system

• Assists in the performance of quality review of all project documents

• Work with Supervising Engineers, Design Supervisor, and Project Managers to make sure projects are completed on schedule and within project budget

• Perform Project Close-Out and As-Built revisions

• Make sure all project drawings and related documents are moved to permanent storage per company procedures

• Additional duties as assigned by the Supervising Engineer or Project Engineer

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION GUIDELINES:

• In the process of completing an Associates Degree in CAD, Electrical Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology or similar or related field from an accredited university 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Sound knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Microstation required
