2024 Summer Intern - Digital Business Team (Technical)

Job Description

Work Arrangement:

Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be onsite full-time, but the general expectation is that the employee be on-site an average of three (3) days each week.

About Digital Business Team:

Our Digital Business Team (DBT) organization is responsible for delivering GM’s digital growth strategy & customer experience vision by building a deeper relationship with our customers and accelerating GM’s transformation from vehicle maker to platform innovator. 

  • Build and execute experiences across digital and physical channels – in-vehicle, mobile, web, dealer, advisor.
  • Manage all facets of GM’s digital ecosystem, including eCommerce, online vehicle shopping, loyalty and card program, infotainment, digital service, OnStar Safety & Connectivity, fleet and business solutions and connected over the air updates.
  • Responsible for pricing & packaging for all digital products & services.

There are variety of areas within DBT, and your summer internship can be based on your interest, qualifications and best fit for the business.

 

CX Chief Engineering Assistant Program Analyst –you will work with more technical teams in Engineering and IT to achieve an enterprise-wide customer experience vision. You will help construct, plan, and lead technical programs for products, services, and customer experience software.

System Operations Intern –your primary responsibility is to provide analytical support to the System Vehicle team which often means pursuing independent projects and working closely with others. Here you will have responsibilities in robust quantitative analysis by manipulating data using Microsoft Excel, Oracle Database, Minitab, and Hadoop data analytics.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Pursuit of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in one of the following areas: Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Software, or Technical Architecture
  • Must be graduating between December 2024 – June 2026
  • Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Ability to work in ambiguous situations
  • Shown capability to collaborate with different people and groups to gain trust and hit program objectives
  • Demonstrated learning agility

GM will provide a one-time lump sum taxable stipend payment to eligible students selected for the 2024 Student Program.

 

Start Date: This position has a planned start date of May/June 2024.

 

The salary range for this role is $4,300 and $6,600, dependent upon class status and degree.

 

Benefit options are not available for this role.
