Job Description and Duties

Under the direction of the Construction Management Supervisor, the incumbent will perform a wide variety of construction engineering duties for the Levee Repair Project Headquarters, which include performing construction management and engineering tasks, review of drawings and data submittals, preparing estimates, construction schedules, delay and claims analysis, correspondence, and reports.

We are seeking candidates who can handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines, taking initiative and being resourceful in meeting challenges, interacting with contractors, and maintaining a high level of professional expertise.  The candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.  The incumbent is required to have a broad knowledge of construction practices required for field inspection and practical application of the methods, procedures, materials, equipment, and accepted safety practices used in major engineering construction projects.
