Ad Experience & Platforms Software Development Intern: ATL - Summer 2024

Your New Role 

The Advertising Platforms Intern will work with and collaborate with cross functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy code to meet business requirements in a sustainable best practice method. You’ll be a full stack developer helping to design and build new applications and feature sets to support the integration of advertising into our digital content. In addition, you’ll also work with the rest of the team in supporting our existing ad related applications built with React, Node, Express, and Mongodb. And finally, you’ll need to be comfortable contributing to the technical design, writing quality code, unit testing, and working with teammates to produce great software.

This internship will be located in the ATL area. The selected intern will be expected to join us in the office on a regular cadence based on the intern manager’s in office schedule. 

 
Your Role Accountabilities 

Every day you’ll have the opportunity to

Be passionate about software development utilizing advertising technology to monetize our content

Collaborate with fellow developers to design the application features for each sprint

Work with testers to identify and resolve any defects found during testing

Qualifications & Experience 

Experience with HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, RESTful APIs, and databases (SQL or NoSQL)

Solid communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a group setting

Detail oriented

Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required) 

Must be a rising Junior, Senior or Graduate Student (18 years or older) 

Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA)

What to know before applying: 

The duration of the summer program regardless of which start/end option is 11 weeks.   

Program date options: 

Option 1: June 3rd – August 16th  

Option 2: June 10th – August 23rd 

Interns will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity.   

Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.   

Interviewing will take place from March through mid-April. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.
