Sustainable Island Design Challenge

Attention all aerospace engineering, architecture, environmental science majors, and creative minds! Welcome to the Sustainable Island Design Challenge.

 

Your mission is to transform Ocracoke Island into a self-powered model of 100% sustainability. College teams are invited to bring their interdisciplinary expertise to propose actionable designs dressing the diverse sustainability challenges. 

 

The winning team will receive paid travel to Las Vegas, Nevada, from 7/26/2024 to 7/30/2024 to present their winning project to an audience that will vote on whether the design will graduate to a future development and test phase.
