Software Engineer Intern – Summer 2024

Position Overview:

Softeon is looking to employ a software engineering student to intern with the Cloud Operations team this summer. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a team who are logical, innovative and think out-of-the-box. We are looking for a hands-on individual to be an integral part of engineering and developing a cloud-based web application.

Our extremely broad suite of supply chain solutions – provided on a single, integrated services-based technology platform - has three anchors: the Softeon Warehouse Management System (WMS), Warehouse Execution System (WES), and Distributed Order Management (DOM) system. Our customer base ranges from Fortune 50 companies to medium-sized businesses and logistics service providers.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Expertise in front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Knowledge of server-side programming languages (preferably Python - Django framework)
  • Familiarity with databases such as Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB
  • Basic understanding of Cloud Services (preferably AWS)
  • Exposure towards using any version control systems such as Git

Education:

  • Should be currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program with a major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.

This internship will be held on-site in our Reston, VA office (close to Metro) 24 hours per week (3 days).
