Teaching Assistant, Computer Science

Position Type: Federal Work Study and Non-Work Study

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

The department of Computer Science is seeking qualified graduate students, particularly those enrolled in PHD programs, to serve as Teaching Assistants (TAs) for the Artificial Intelligence (AI) course. TAs will support the instructor and facilitate student learning in this course.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist the course instructor in delivering laboratory exercises.
  • Provide grading and feedback on assignments, exams, and projects.
  • Offer support to students during office hours and address inquiries related to course material.
  • Contribute to content development and assist with technical issues.
  • Assist in proctoring exams and maintaining exam integrity.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in a graduate program in Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Strong understanding of AI concepts and algorithms. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. 
  • Reliability and professionalism in handling TA duties.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous teaching or tutoring experience preferred.

Anticipated Schedule: 

  • Monday and Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM. Wednesday from 05:15 PM
