Position Description
The Global Distribution Cold Chain Solutions Group (GDCCS) intern position provides an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience and exposure to the Supply Chain world, Cold Chain technology, Distribution Packaging, and Shipping Qualification function. Working as a member of the GDCCS team, the intern will support:
Qualification of an upcoming program for BLA submission.
Qualification Documentation
Execution of Qualification Studies. Includes on-site support at local external lab, testing, inspections,
Working with various packaging/shipping solution vendors
Collaborating with the packaging development group
Support Cross-functional meetings and tech transfer meetings.
Support Operational/technical meetings with Logistics, Manufacturing Sciences (MS), External manufacturing (EM), and Warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
Creation of qualification templates and check lists
Assist in the creation of qualification protocols/reports.
Provide onsite support (testing, visual inspections, etc) at external test lab
Perform distribution packaging studies as needed
Coordinate and support real time/supply chain studies
Work with external vendors in order to execute qualification studies on various packaging components.
Support BG9418 shipping qualification activities and associated CAPAs
Support Annual Product Reviews (APR) and Periodic Reviews for GDCCS and transport qualification.
Support process improvements for commercial/clinical shipping qualification process
The position is based in Cambridge or RTP with possible travel to local suppliers and test labs (transportation can be provided by the company).
Qualifications:

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment and complete tasks in a timely manner
Familiarity with Microsoft Office
To participate in the Biogen Internship Program, students must meet the following eligibility criteria:
Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date
Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
Education
Undergraduate student completed at least two years of program.
Minimum grade point average of 3.2 preferred
Desired majors include: Packaging
Major schools include: RIT, MSU, Clemson or Wisconsin-Stout
