J2380589 Project Industrial Engineer

Job Summary: As a Project Industrial Engineer at Jabil, you will provide essential support and coordination for operational engineering projects, ensuring their success from initiation to completion. This role involves project planning, staffing, progress reporting, people management, and troubleshooting. The focus is on delivering project results that meet high standards of technical quality, reliability, schedule, and cost.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive regulatory and compliance certifications, including ISO9000, ISO14000, AS9100, TUV, ensuring adherence to standards.
  • Utilize proactive methodologies and trend analysis for continuous improvement and optimization.
  • Assess the adequacy of data-gathering methods utilized by teams.
  • Assist in the preparation, monitoring, and evaluation of equipment set-ups, manufacturing layout, and process changes.
  • Support communication of Jabil’s manufacturing capabilities and Engineering group, providing timely solutions for any immediate needs or enhancements.
  • Participate in quoting activities through initial process design, development, and implementation phases.
  • Provide ongoing direction and training on process development, root cause analysis, and systematic problem-solving.
  • Evaluate and provide input to inspection processes via inspection aids and instruction guidelines.
  • Review and coordinate corrective/proactive action efforts for supplies, internal, and customer discrepancies.
  • Conduct periodic review and maintenance of all documentation files, developing appropriate systems for document storage and access.
  • Support proactive participation with suppliers and aid in their process improvement efforts when possible.
  • Interface and provide technical support on quality issues with customers as needed.
  • Assist Design Engineers with Design for Manufacture issues.
  • Offer new ideas and suggestions for improvement, identifying and implementing new practices and processes that are "best in class."

 

Job Qualifications: Knowledge Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Jabil operating policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge and experience in engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), and e-mail skills.

 

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline preferred.
  • 2-4 years of work-related experience required in engineering or project management or a related discipline.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
