J2380376 Industrial Engineer II

JOB SUMMARY

The role of the Industrial Engineer II is crucial in the planning, designing, implementation, and management of integrated production and service delivery systems at our production site. Ensuring performance, reliability, maintainability, schedule adherence, and cost control is the primary responsibility of this position. The Industrial Engineer II will focus on goals such as profitability, effectiveness, adaptability, responsiveness, quality, and continuous improvement of products and services throughout their life cycles.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as a project team member, driving initiatives to eliminate waste through standard Industrial Engineering processes. This includes Capital Equipment Requests, Capabilities Studies, Plant Layouts, Tool Design, and Standard Work.
  • Develop time standards for process steps and contribute to the Product-Process-Time database (IEDB).
  • Gather and analyze Industrial Engineering metrics for the assigned customer or area.
  • Coordinate layout and facility moves for the assigned customer or area(s).
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with standard processes by collecting, analyzing, and reviewing IEDB data.
  • Monitor SAP and Manufacturing Execution System configurations, ensuring compliance with standardized system configurations.
  • Collect and/or develop data for quotes.
  • Coach, mentor, and train engineers within the Industrial Engineering team.
  • Support and maintain all lower-level Industrial Engineering essential duties and responsibilities.
  • Ensure the standardization of Jabil processes throughout the site in alignment with global, regional, and site directives.
  • Support the Lean organization by establishing a solid process foundation and ensuring data integrity to facilitate process improvement throughout the organization.
  • Comply with all procedures within the company's security policy.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor of Engineering
  • Proficiency in the use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD skills are required.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong analytical ability.
  • Proficiency in a broad range of industrial engineering tools (e.g., work measurement, process mapping, facilities, and workstation design).
  • Understanding of Jabil's global strategies and direction.
  • Proven track record of successful change management, implementing continuous improvements, and cost reduction programs.
