Role: Game Art and 3D Modeler Intern

Games for Love is on the lookout for talented and passionate individuals in the field of Game Art and 3D Modeling to join our International Internship Program. As a Game Art and 3D Modeler intern, you will be an integral part of our collaborative team, working closely with fellow artists, designers, and developers to bring visually stunning and immersive gaming experiences to life. This program not only provides an opportunity to contribute to game development but also offers mentorship from industry professionals to enhance your skills and build a standout portfolio.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Cross-functional Teams:

• Work closely with programmers, designers, and artists to align on a shared artistic vision.

Lead in Artistic Development:

• Proactively take the lead in the creation and enhancement of visual assets, including 3D models, textures, and animations.

Problem Solving and Innovation:

• Engage in research to solve artistic challenges and contribute innovative ideas to enhance the overall game aesthetic.

Create Engaging Game Assets:

• Develop base gameplay systems, mechanics, and design visually appealing 3D and 2D models.

Polish and Refinement:

• Strive for excellence by adding the extra polish that elevates the visual quality of our games.

Minimum Qualification:

Educational Background:

• Pursuing or completed at least 1 year in a relevant degree related to Game Art, 3D Modeling, or a similar field.

Artistic and Technical Skills:

• Ability to express creative ideas through rapid prototyping and a strong portfolio showcasing proficiency in 3D modeling, texturing, and animation.

Experience:

• Familiarity with full-cycle mobile game development, preferably using Unity.

Technical Proficiency:

• Ability to create well-structured and efficient assets using industry-standard tools and technologies.

Understanding of Game Development Processes:

• Appreciation for milestones, schedules, deadlines, and efficient game development processes.

Communication:

• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey artistic concepts and collaborate with team members.
