
Registered Nurse - Mid Shift
Average Rate of Pay: $32-$38/hr
Days/Hours will be Mon-Fri 11:00am - 7:00pm (may need flexibility for coverage) w/every other Saturday
Occupational health nursing is the specialty practice that delivers health and safety programs and services to workers and worker populations. The practice focuses on promotion and restoration of health, prevention of illness and injury, and protection from work-related and environmental hazards.
This position will conduct medical history and physical assessments; adhere to the highest standard of confidentiality; and assist with team member education related to communicable diseases. This position may involve additional occupational health nurse duties as assigned by manager.
In addition, this position will be responsible for working with team members at or away from work in relationship to communicable disease. This includes performing enhanced symptom screenings, COVID testing established by Tyson’s testing strategy, routine telephonic health checks with team members, determining team member isolation and return to work, arranging advanced healthcare if needed and associated case documentation.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Completion of a registered nursing program required. Current unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse required.
Experience: 1 plus years’ experience in the performance of nursing skills relative to occupational health nursing or relevant nursing field preferred.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills. Ability to work with an electronic medical documentation system.
Other Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong problem solving and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements: Physical requirements include walking through the plant to ensure team member and supervisor compliance with prescribed modified restricted duty requirements. This will include walking up steps and using ladders.
