UFE Summer Internship Description 2024
Mission & Programs
United for a Fair Economy is a national nonprofit organization and our mission is: “We challenge the concentration of wealth and power that corrupts democracy, deepens the racial divide, and tears communities apart.”
United for a Fair Economy uses popular economics education, trainings, and creative communications to support social movements working for a resilient, sustainable, and equitable economy.
- UFE’s signature “Economics for Everyone” programs use popular education methodology (which draws on participants’ own experience and knowledge) to educate and move people to action toward a fair economy.
- Our Inclusive Economy Project brings together grassroots groups in strategic states to push for progressive and equitable public policy.
- We use creative communications to challenge popularly-held myths about wealth creation and expose the structures of power and policies that maintain extreme economic inequality.
- Our Responsible Wealth Project organizes wealthy progressives and business owners – those in the top 5% of income and assets in this country – to use their influential voices in the fight for a fair economy.

The intern will also have the opportunity to work on general UFE efforts as well as on projects that support the Responsible Wealth and Inclusive Economy projects. This will be done working with our operations, program and resource mobilization team.
