Our Construction Engineering practice helps developers, contractors, designers, fabricators and erectors efficiently and effectively move projects from initial concept to completion through early involvement in the design process. We are a leading fundamental change in how the AEC community approaches project delivery. Our trademarked Advanced Project Delivery (APD) service brings construction engineering and detailing into the early phases of design. This early integration of structural design and detailing gives contractors more detailed information months sooner than with conventional delivery.
The Role
We have an opportunity for a Structural Engineer Intern for our Construction Engineering Practice. This is a full-time internship for the summer of 2024.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for structural analysis, design, and detailing of steel, concrete, masonry, and timber systems.
- Coordination of design work with in-house staff as we as other design professionals including Architects and other Engineering disciplines.
- Preparation of construction documents within a BIM environment.
Requirements
- Undergraduate or graduate student with a concentration in engineering or architecture.
- Excellent academic record.
- Experience in Revit, Tekla, and AutoCAD is helpful but not required.
Compensation
The rate for this position generally is $20 - $25 hourly. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. It is based on what a successful Colorado applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in Colorado or perform the position from Colorado. Similar positions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employee already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law. A potential new employee’s pay history will not be used in compensation decisions.
