Position: Architect I - Architect II

Established in 1945, FGM Architects serves PK-12 Education, Higher Education, Faith-based, Municipal, Public Safety and Recreation, Federal and Corporate clients from our offices in Texas, Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin, and Virginia.

 We welcome Architect I or Architect II candidates who are eager to take on the following responsibilities and possess the skills and credentials listed below:

 Responsibilities:

  • Competent in all aspects of architecture while developing the design, implementing the building program, and preparing project documentation appropriate to each phase
  • Prepares presentation materials to communicate design ideas to the client
  • Researches manufacturers’ materials and systems
  • Understands the technical implications of design decisions and leads the development and documentation of practical, buildable details
  • Represents the firm well in project meetings and industry events and begins to build a professional network of clients, consultants, and peers

 Skills and Credentials:

  • 3 – 10 years of relevant experience
  • Dynamic, creative, and detail-oriented
  • Well-organized and able to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills and a solid conceptual design aptitude
  • Proficient in Revit with experience in both preliminary design and construction drawings documentation; knowledge of modeling and rendering in 3-D software (ie: Enscape, Lumion, FormIT)
  • Licensed to practice architecture
  • LEED accreditation preferred
