Instrument Technician
Instrumentation Technician – On-site in Plano, TX
Summary
We are looking for an Instrumentation Technician to support the Neuromodulation Department to calibrate, adjust, repair, and maintain plant/utility instrumentation.
Mandatory Requirements
- High school diploma with 2 years minimum experience OR a two-year degree or certificate in Electronics Technology
- Comparable military service training may be acceptable
- Mechanical or Engineering Technician backgrounds highly preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot, service, and repair equipment: fluidics, robotics, and electronics
- Medical Device experience highly preferred
- Experience using computer hardware and /or software applications
Day-to-Day Duties
- Calibrate, adjust, repair, and maintain plant/utility instrumentation
- Troubleshoot error codes and the root cause of issues
- Work cross-functionally with Scientists and R&D Engineers
- Conducts preventative maintenance
- Read and understand manuals, test procedures, and documentation associated with specialized equipment
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and complex test procedures
- May work closely with engineers to execute product design
- May perform testing on prototype electrical and/or mechanical designs
- Conducts testing to determine effectiveness of product specifications
- Comply with all safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Term & Start
- 1-year contract starting 2/26/24 with possibility of extension
- Full-time (40+ hours/week), M-F 6-2:30p; OT after 2:30p and on weekends possible
- On-site in Plano, TX
- Pay rate: $19-21/hr based on experience ($38-42k annually)
