Job Description
The Otsuka US Promotion Compliance (ad/promo) summer internship is an opportunity to apply your existing knowledge of the laws and regulations of the life sciences industry and learn how to provides regulatory subject matter expertise and guidance to mitigate risks and achieve our company goals.
During the internship, the summer intern will dive deep in the complex set of regulations and laws that govern the marketing and promotion of pharmaceutical products in our highly-regulated industry. The intern will gain experience and advise on actual internal and external materials including medically-based trainings, advertisements, marketing campaigns and more. The intern will also experience the required interactions with regulatory agencies.
This internship requires a graduate-level student who has an understanding of the legal and business risks specific to a pharmaceutical company. This understanding can be demonstrated through prior career experience and/or coursework. Ideal candidates are enrolled in graduate-level programs studying for pharmacy, medical, nursing or regulatory degrees.
This internship can be based Otsuka’s Princeton, NJ or Rockville, MD offices, or it can be remote, but availability during US Eastern time zone business hours is mandatory. Some travel may be required based upon business needs.

Qualifications/ Required
- Knowledge/ Experience and Skills:
- Demonstrated understanding or experience in pharmaceutical/life sciences laws and regulations through career experience or coursework

- Demonstrate ability to work in a team environment

- Exhibits eagerness to learn and ability to learn quickly
Educational Qualifications
- Required: Currently enrolled in an accredited graduate school pursuing a degree in pharmacy, medicine, nursing or a regulated specialty.
- Continued enrollment at a graduate school must follow the potential internship or co-op assignment
