News Production Internship
The Young Turks' hands-on daily news production internship program presents a unique opportunity for students to actively engage in pitching, researching, and producing stories that air live on the same day. We strongly believe that this immersive internship would be exceptionally valuable for current students and recent graduates seeking real-world news producing experience.
ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP
We offer internships on two daily shows: Indisputable with Dr Rashad Richey, ranked the fastest-growing news show in America according to the Hicks Evaluation Group; and The Damage Report with John Iadarola, which won the 2022 Webby for Best Political Channel.
Essential skills include: Research skills, News Acumen, Pitching Stories, Deadline Management, Writing Skills, Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Ethics.
Nice-to-haves but not required: Video Editing in Adobe Premiere.
Though the internship is unpaid, many of our interns end up as full time employees at the company. Currently four of our daily show producers are former interns, and many others have moved on to careers in different parts of the industry. Also, the internship is remote, but interns interact with the team throughout the day.
