Behavioral Health Clinician

The Behavioral Health Clinician interviews consumers, provides crisis intervention counseling and stabilization, completes on-site crisis assessments, develops least restrictive treatment plans, refers and links consumers to appropriate / available resources and answers a 24-hour hotline. Required to report to work in inclement weather. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary, including interpretation of assessments and other data, to provide the appropriate care, including age-related, needed by consumers served. The individual demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the consumer population served. May perform additional duties as requested by Director/Supervisor.

 

Legacy operates the State-designated Crisis Intervention Program for Chester County, providing evaluations 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to individuals experiencing a psychiatric crisis or posing a danger to self, others or property.

 

Hours:

Full Time; various shifts available.

 

This is a Full Time Benefited position with the following benefits:

Part time positions are also available.

Education/Experience:

Master’s degree and one year of experience in mental health crisis intervention or Bachelor’s degree in human services plus two years of experience in mental health crisis intervention.   

 

Your driver's license must be in good standing, with no recent suspensions or violations of careless/reckless driving or excessive speeding of more than 20 MPH, and no more than 2 moving violations within the last 3 years.
