Summer Camp Group Leader

Apply to be a group leader at Mid Island Day Camp located in Plainview, NY! We are looking for energetic students who love working with kids and want to spend their summer outdoors. Our campers range in age from 3 to 13. Many of our campers and counselors come back year after year. They love becoming part of our camp family!

Group Leader Duties & Responsibilities: Group Leaders will work with campers in all areas of camp. Each group leader will be assigned a group of campers to lead along with their counselors.

Group Leader Skills & Qualifications: Applicants must be entering their senior year of college or older. Experience working with children is preferred. Positive attitude, outgoing, energetic, enthusiastic and fun. Applicants should be comfortable being outside.

Applicants must be available for the duration of the summer camp season from June 27th, 2024 - August 22nd, 2024 and all training leading up to camp. We are closed Thursday July 4th and Friday July 5th for the holiday. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 am- 4:30 pm.
