The Sales and Marketing team at Kryterion is searching for a committed, deadline-driven intern to join our excellent sales team. Your primary responsibility will be to research to identify potential prospects for business-to-business sales in the credentialing software industry. You will be conducting market research into businesses to target and identify their decision process and key decision makers. You will then, working with your manager or assigned sales executive, develop strategies to reach out and initiate contact with identified prospects to discover critical information to enable the team to create a sales plan. You may also be asked to make cold calls, set appointments, and participate in planning meetings. You should be able to take instruction but also work unsupervised when required.
To be successful as a Sales Development Intern, you should be willing to learn as much about the company as possible and be able to spot opportunities that have been overlooked by others.
This is a PAID part-time position for up to 20 hours ($25 P/HR) per week for 6 months. Extension is possible based on performance and need.
Sales Intern Responsibilities:
- Conducting desktop research or gathering information through surveys or by speaking to clients and staff.
- Remote meetings with prospects.
- Updating documents and sales records.
- Maintain an organized approach to daily tasks.
- Provide daily structured reports on prospecting activities and outcomes, communicate progress.
- Keeping a log of everything learned and delivering presentations to staff and other stakeholders.
Sales Intern Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Working towards a degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Management/Administration, Communications or a related field.
- Business to Business (B2B) sales experience is required.
- Proficient in conducting internet searches and utilizing Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience in a software or SaaS company is highly desirable.
- Self-motivation, organizational skills with the ability to work independently or as a team member.
- Superb interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication, and professional appearance.
- Ability to remain calm in fast-paced environments.
