2024 Summer Logistics Transportation Analyst Intern

Daikin has a robust and established internship program. Our 10 to 12-week summer program provides students with the opportunity to work individually and in groups. During the internship, college students will:

● Work on an individual project with your direct team

● Work with other interns on a group project

● Interact with leadership in the company, including VPs

● Network across functions and teams

● Participate in social and team building activities



● Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship now and in the future 

● Graduation Dates:  December 2024 - December 2026



Logistics is looking for a professional, skilled individual for our Transportation analyst Intern position. Chosen candidate will evaluate the organization’s transportation processes and systems and identify inefficiencies or opportunities for improvement. This person will develop and implement innovative and cost-effective solutions that allow for a more efficient and streamlined process. They conduct logistical studies and data analysis evaluations and use this information to recommend strategies and tactics. They present data summaries and proposals to stakeholders and play an active role in cross-department collaboration.


● Work with other analysts and transportation professionals to learn about how logistics operates and what transportation systems are in place to support the operation

● Identify areas of improvement and develop a solution

● Develop a plan to create the solution and execute it

● Assist the transportation team with other ad hoc projects for process improvement



During the internship, college students will gain the below skills:

● Time and Project Management

● Extensive knowledge of transportation systems.

● Supply Chain knowledge

● Problem Solving

● SQL/python or other scripting language skills
