Media Coordinator - Summer 2024

Position:  Media Coordinator 

Salary: $475 per week, room and board included

 

Major Responsibilities:  The Media Coordinator is responsible for creating the following for all PreCollege camps: Memory Books, door decorations, signage for programs, name-tags, and certificates.  This individual will also be responsible for taking daily photos of assigned camp activities, including: classroom, recreational, and cultural activities, field trips, closing & opening programs, check-ins/check-outs, student meal periods, student presentations, and other events as assigned by the supervisor. 

The position is required to maintain the PreCollege Programs social media platforms.  

The position is required to maintain the PreCollege Programs Bulletin Boards.  This includes posting pictures of camp activities and events.  This also includes creating borders, decorations, and other forms of graphics to keep the bulletin board up to date during the summer months.  Other related duties as assigned.

 

Deliverables: 

  • In office no later than 9am
  • Always stay in touch with Assistant Summer Manager during typical work hours 
  • Create signs to help students and staff navigate campus
  • Ensure all name tags and door decs are ready before camps begin (four in person camps)
  • Check for mandatory class visits for pictures of unique projects conducted during these classes (highlighted class list packet)
  • Get action pictures of students during class, transitioning from class to class and during activities
  • Get individual pictures of each student in the camp
  • Organize pictures (naming each photo – example 22STEER Class001, 22UB Student Last Name, First Name)
  • Create memory books and update on a daily basis, submit for initial review to Assistant Summer Manager on Tuesday
  • Create end of camp certificates for each student
  • Upload photos regularly to social media platforms (mainly Facebook)
  • Complete, print and submit by the day before students leave (call printing services 472-1002 in Community Engagement Center for time turn around you would need 65 SMS books, see older books for paper quality ideas).
  • Other duties as assigned  
  • Able to stay overnight over the duration of camp

 

Potential Dates of Employment: Monday, June 3, 2024 – Friday, July 26, 2024. Minimum of two weeks to a maximum of ten weeks, dependent on position; employment dates subject to change. Required training scheduled in the week of Monday, June 3, 2024; meals provided during training dates are a continental breakfast and lunch for all employees.
