Product Management Intern

Job Title: Product Management Intern

At STERIS, we help our Customers create a healthier and safer world by providing innovative healthcare and life science product and service solutions around the globe.

 

The Role

Come join our team as a Product Management Intern. You will be an active member of STERIS Life Sciences supporting the Technical Services Marketing Team. You will conduct a thorough investigation of the competitive landscape in the products supplied to the pharmaceutical manufacturing market. The project would include the creation of a database (or similar) which would contain competitor information on competitor offerings, including but not limited to: product offering, product label claims (EPA and/or BPR), pricing, and value proposition. 

Key Internship Information:

  • Paid Internship
  • Target start date is May 20th, 2024 and end date is August 9th, 2024
  • Full-Time (40 hours) - This is a full-time internship Monday-Friday
  • Location - This is a hybrid role and requires interns to work weekly at our St. Louis, MO facility

 

What You Will Do

  • Create listing of competitors by geographic region.
  • Collect and assimilate competitive data for those competitors.
  • Develop method or system for storing/updating competitive information.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to map the market by assigned variable (e.g., price), including where STERIS fits into market. 
  • Create technical marketing content through collaboration with technical services and product management teams.
  • Leverage project management skills to lead projects with cross-functional teams to completion.

 

What You Need To Be Successful

  • Coursework in Marketing curriculum (preferred)
  • Physical sciences (e.g., chemistry, biology) coursework highly preferred
  • Coursework and/or experience in data management tools, e.g. Excel
  • Experience/coursework with Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Must have the technical aptitude necessary to work with formulated chemistries products, and the interpersonal and communication skills to engage as a team player who is detail oriented, organized, communicates well, and follows through.
