Graduate Civil Engineer - Aerospace/DoD

The Civil Engineering Associate I will work with a team of highly skilled engineers and architects who will provide mentoring and guidance to advance your professional skills to achieve professional licensure and advance your career.  This position will be responsible for supporting the design of federal (Department of Defense) and Aerospace projects throughout the U.S. and beyond.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform various civil site design tasks utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D including project research and engineering document preparation.
  • Assist engineers with site investigation and research, field walks and documentation, data collection and organization.
  • Collaborate with multiple civil disciplines working as a team to solve design challenges.
  • Work with Design Engineers, Project Engineers and Project Managers who will guide you in the development of design and construction documents and deliverables.
  • Civil engineering design applied to grading, storm drain, sewer, water, paving, streets, dry utilities, water quality, and hydrology/hydraulics.
  • Collaborate with multiple civil disciplines working as a team to solve design challenges.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 0-5 years of related experience
  • Engineering-in-Training (EIT) certification (or ability to obtain within a year)
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office
  • Communication and organizational skills
  • Previous co-op or internship experience in the engineering field
  • Collaboration and teamwork
  • Pride in attention to quality and detail
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, are essential to success in this role.
