The Western Shasta RCD is seeking current Forestry or Natural Resource students or recent graduates who are interested in gaining valuable field experience. Forestry Summer Interns will assist our Registered Professional Foresters with Forest Inventory work on private property in western Shasta County. The work will include surveying and collecting data on forested landscapes in order to develop Forest Management Plans.  The majority of the work will take place outdoors and at times could require working in adverse conditions such as extreme heat and/or over steep terrain. All applicants are required to have a valid  Driver's License and must commit to at least six weeks of work.
