Analytical Chemist
SensIT is a UC Davis- affiliated start-up company commercializing MEMS-based chemical sensor devices. SensIT is seeking a full-time Analytical Chemist position for several recently funded projects focused on agricultural applications. You might come from a background ranging from Food Science to Engineering, and you've developed a diverse toolbox of skills that enables you to operate novel end-to-end hardware prototypes in a lab environment with minimal assistance.
Requirements:
· M.S. in Chemistry or related field or equivalent practical experience
· Strong interest in instrumentation
· Experience programming such as C, C++, Python/MATLAB or LabVIEW
· Experience with creating test plans, designing testing procedures to verify system performance.
Preferred:
· Experience with ion mobility spectrometry, mass spectrometry, gas chromatography
