3D DESIGN Intern- 2024

Overview:

Beyond the Runway is a Fashion Tech startup based out of Los Angeles, CA, and New York, NY. We are the only 3D Avatar Fit Technology (SAAS) company that integrates with fashion e-commerce sites using groundbreaking Virtual Try On technology. The founders have a combined vast number of years of experience starting companies and working for major fashion brands around the world like Prada, Moschino, and Valentino.  We are looking for a remote Graphic Design intern who wants to gain experience and build their portfolio while contributing to a dynamic business. This role will allow for a robust creative license as well as guidance from seasoned founders. The internship will span Jan 2024-June 204 with flexible dates.

Responsibilities:

• Generate accurate CLO 3D CAD garments, to communicate designer’s products.

• Collaborate with Social Media and Marketing teams to create presentations

• Able to manage priorities and meet deadlines

• Stay up to date with new design software

Qualifications:

• Proficient in Clo3D, Marvelous Designer, and/or Scanatic™ DC Suite

• Knowledge of garment construction, pattern drafting and textiles is required

• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

Who are you?

We are seeking individuals who are passionate about the future of technology development in

the fashion industry. As a 3D Designer, you will be supporting the design team in developing digital

patterns and producing virtual 3D garments. You will be reading patterns and converting them

into digital assets to achieve authentic garment fit. Along the way, will be expected to use your

full range of pattern drafting, clothing constructions and textile skills to build digital 3D

Products. You will be working closely with the company visionaries, software developers, social media,

and marketing teams, producing assets that will support our software and brand.

*Mastery of Clo3D, Marvelous Designer, and/or Scanatic™ DC Suite

*Eagerness to learn new things

*Strong writing skills

*Video creating/editing skills a plus 

*Squarespace proficiency

"This internship is structured to serve as academic credit. Additionally, a semester-end stipend (based on the monthly learning stipend rate) will be compensated after the project. Company equity may also be offered as a compensation option in select cases. Additional performance bonus may be extended on an ad hoc basis."
