REMOTE Game Design

Job Description:

You will take part in creating an educational and competitive online video game that mirrors the business world. Video games are becoming valued tools for companies and institutions around the world. In this game, players experience a variety of jobs and business tasks such as (but not limited to) building a house, negotiating deals, and passing an interview. You will communicate with employees as well as business partners to implement frequently occurring problems faced during the jobs and tasks included in the game. As the video game industry begins to encompass training more fully, you will have the opportunity to jump in early and make your mark.

On boarding start date ranges: 

January 1-10 Winter

April 1-10 Spring 

June 1-10 Summer 

August 1-10 Fall

October 1-10 Winter 

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the company leadership and business partners to design the game.
  • Determine which game engine is the most price effective for the company and fully exploit its capabilities for game creation.
  • Function autonomously to solve issues which arise throughout the process.

Requirements:

  • Have an online portfolio showing examples of your design work.
  • Able to make use of programming and multimedia development software.
  • Capable of designing a game from planning to production stages.
  • Course work in Game Development, Visual Design, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
