About the Position
We believe in the power of 1:1 education in order to support students holistically and inspire a love of learning, confidence, and self-advocacy. Our organization comprises three branches: our accredited homeschool Pacific Preparatory, our after-school tutoring program Tutor Corps, and our nonprofit scholarship program through the Tutor Corps Foundation. We strive to inspire a love of learning in students of all backgrounds and abilities and provide exceptional instruction in all K-12 subjects.
We are currently in search of an in-person teacher to work one-on-one with a 14-year-old student with learning challenges in Sherman Oaks. The student works approximately at a 5th grade reading level and a 7th-grade math level.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with learning differences. Morning/early afternoon availability is preferred. We are looking for a teacher who can begin immediately. It is very important that you are able to commit through the remainder of the 2023-24 school year.
