Part-time Student Eclipse Multimedia Design Intern
IU Center for Rural Engagement
The Center for Rural Engagement multimedia design intern will use print and digital media to tell the story of rural Indiana and IU’s collaboration with communities with communities in the pathway of totality during the April 2024 eclipse.
Department Specific Responsibilities
Performs project-based communications activities, including:
- Designs graphics and prepares layouts for a variety of print and digital platforms that capture community initiatives surrounding the April 2024 eclipse.
- Captures photography and videography, which may include travel.
- Help prepare social media content.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in progress or completed. Knowledge of graphic design concepts and best practices. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Strong writing and communication skills. Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, digital photography/videography, and project management systems.
Hours
Position schedule is 10-15 hours per week depending on project volume.
Compensation
$15/hour
