Social Media and Marketing Intern

Marketing Intern responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the Director of Marketing & Communications and other team members to execute comprehensive marketing strategies to promote Amplify LatinX's programs, events, and initiatives.
- Support marketing campaign planning and execution
- Assist in the creation of compelling content for various platforms, including social media, website, newsletters, invitations, and reports
- Updating media contact lists.
- Support event day logistics and/or post-event activities
- Conduct research and development for future campaigns, events, and strategy
- Write copy as assigned for social media, email, and marketing collateral
- Assist in the creation of written, video, and image content for social media
- Measure and report the results of assigned marketing initiatives.
- Participate in marketing brainstorming sessions.
Qualifications / Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Applied understanding of basic marketing principles.
- Familiarity with major social media platforms.
- Ability to be flexible and work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Comfortable with multitasking in a deadline-driven environment
- Basic graphic design skills and video editing.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Undergraduate student in communications, journalism, marketing, or equivalent.
- Proficient with the use of Google Suite. Experience with Canva, Mailchimp, and social media management tools is a plus
- Bilingual (English & Spanish)
Pay rate: $25 per hour
Hours: 10-20 per week (flexible)
Location: This is a hybrid position; we will give preference to students who can meet weekly at our Wellesley office.
Start date: February 5, 2024 through end of semester.
