2024 Healthcare Investment Banking Summer Analyst
H.C. Wainwright & Co., LLC (“HCW”) is seeking Investment Banking Summer Analysts to join their banking team in New York for its internship program in Summer 2024
The Summer Analyst will be involved in all facets of HCW's investment banking activities, including supporting private capital raises, IPOs, public follow-ons, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic transactions. HCW’s Summer Analysts work closely and directly with senior investment bankers, and receive a continuous education in financial analysis and the financial markets, as well as a broad-based exposure to both advisory and underwriting products for the life sciences industry.
Responsibilities:
- Investment Banking Analysts will act as part of our investment banking team on a variety of engagements. They will be assigned a wide variety of projects and given as much responsibility as their experience and capabilities permit
- Working directly throughout all phases of transaction advisory and execution
- Preparing financial models and analytical support
- Drafting situation analyses, pitch materials, information memoranda, and term sheets
- Performing company, industry, market and competitor research and due diligence
- Contributing to the development and communication of proposals and advice to current and prospective clients
- Ensuring quality of client deliverables by having strong attention to detail
Desired Qualifications:
- Background in life sciences or finance preferred
- Undergraduate rising seniors and rising juniors
- Proven academic track-record from an accredited university
- Self-starter; strong work ethic
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Team player
