Land Representative
Overview
RES is currently accepting applications for the position of Land Representative, based out of our Pittsburgh, PA office.
The mission: You will be developing relationships with prospective landowners, both private and public, community business leaders, thus securing property rights, and enabling project realization. It involves interaction with many of the RES functions, including sales, regulatory, and field operations teams, analysts, and in-house counsel – thus, communication skills are key to success.
What your day-to-day might look like?
This position will require 50% travel across PA, WV, NY, OH, & NJ. Including overnight stay.
The majority of your time will be spent acquiring Land for new deals - researching suitable landowners, contacting them, and updating software reports. You will be then be leading the negotiations with the selected landowners on their properties, which will involve overnight stays.
You will also assist in due diligence items including survey and title and assist in the preparation and organization of closing documents. Some assistance will be required for the development of projects in the proposal process for projects in different phases.
You will be doing analytical work - analyzing property data and land records for the suitability of restoration sites, running numbers associated with the acquisition of new land assets, and working with management to prepare and maintain monthly cash flow statements, and assisting in creating preliminary project budgets.
Qualifications
We would love to talk to you if you have many of the following:
• BA/BS in Real Estate, Land Management, Agriculture, or Ecology or equivalent work experience
• 2 or more years of experience in land acquisition, real estate brokerage, land management, OR sales
• Acceptable driving record
• ArcGIS experience
• Passion for environmental stewardship and conservation
