NYS Executive Chamber - State Operations

The Albany Office of New York State Governor Kathy Hochul is seeking two (2) energetic State Operations Intern for the Spring 2024 term. Interns should have some prior knowledge with various policy portfolios. Interns will have the opportunity to hone research and writing skills, strengthen communication skills, participate in event coordination and preparation, improve networking skills, and apply skills to address real-world issues.

Interns are responsible for a variety of tasks, not limited to; 

• Drafts position papers, policy memos, and correspondence for teams within the State Operations portfolio.
• Provides support for meetings, including preparation of pre-brief materials, meeting minutes, and follow ups.
• Prepares draft briefing materials, legislative proposals, speeches and other materials in support of teams within the State Operations portfolio.
• Conducts research and analysis to support projects throughout the portfolio of State Operations teams in collaboration with other members of the executive chamber.
