Biological Science Technician Invasive Species
As a Biological Science Technician (Invasive Species) your duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Control invasive plants by hand-pulling, lopping, weed whacking, and spraying herbicides.
- Work with large groups of volunteers to accomplish biological projects including wildlife, vegetation, and invasive species monitoring.
- Working as a member of a traveling invasive species early detection team across the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
- Assist with field work including habitat improvement projects such as invasive species assessment and treatment, among various other biological duties.
- Working as a member of a team to survey for and treat invasive species populations at coastal prairie & wetland habitats.
