Description:   

Camp Good Days is seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to further our mission through the development and delivery of fun and safe activities for our week-long and weekend summer camping programs for children and adults affected by cancer or sickle cell anemia.    

Camp Good Days is seeking seasonal Summer Staff to join our camp team to help further our mission. During the summer months (June-August), the Summer Staff will reside at our recreational facility to create, facilitate, and partake in different programs and activities for children and families impacted by cancer and sickle cell anemia. Summer Staff reports to the Assistant Director.   

Essential Job Functions:   

  • Collaborate with a team of 15-20 staff members to implement weekly program activities
  • Assist in overall camp operations and maintenance (i.e. set up/clean up, serving, washing dishes, cleaning cabins, etc.)
  • Can be assigned to specific program areas (i.e. Music and Drama, Arts and Crafts, Sports and Games, Nature and Science, Fishing, Photography, Archery, etc.)
  • When needed, role may require being a camp counselor in lieu of other job responsibilities.
  • Escort and oversee campers if needed

Preferred Skills: 

  • Familiarity with summer camp and various outdoor activities
  • Organizational and communication skills
  • Energetic and positive personality
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job (endurance, including prolonged standing, some bending, stooping, walking long distances; willing to live in a camp setting and work irregular hours with limited or simple equipment and facilities, and with daily exposure to the sun, heat)
