About The Role
Join our Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) Team Summer Internship Program, as part of the Uber Finance team, geared toward individuals with zero years of experience who have a passion and interest in pursuing a career in Strategic Sourcing and looking to gain hands-on experience.
In this role, you will partner with leaders on a global scale across various service needs, including consulting, implementation, and marketing, and learn different categories and the types of projects that Strategic Sourcing supports.
This Internship Program will kick-start your career at Uber by learning first-hand from business partners while being exposed to the scale of a global technology company.
The program is based out of our San Francisco, California, or our Dallas, Texas, office.

What You'll Do
- Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models and bench-marking analysis.
- Work with the different teams to benchmark suppliers, identify opportunities for cost savings, and research industry trends.
- Analyze the supplier base qualitatively and provide recommendations on next steps in the supplier lifecycle.
- Research, review, and analyze information from various sources and form an opinion on the content.
- Be creative, adaptive, and eager to learn new technical skills while managing multiple requests.
Basic Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science, with majors in supply chain management, sourcing, finance, business, procurement, or other related fields, with an anticipated graduation between December 2024 and December 2025.
- Minimum 1 year of involvement in extracurricular groups, activities, or internships.
- Currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Uber does not intend to sponsor work visas with respect to this position or to provide this position as F-1, OPT or CPT
Preferred Qualifications
- Minor in contracting law, social sciences, business analytics, marketing, psychology, or other related fields.
- A minimum of one internship program or part-time work experience in Strategic Sourcing or related fields.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills: Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and draw conclusions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds, with a customer service mindset.
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken), including public speaking and presentation skills.
- Proactive self-starter with demonstrated capability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and prioritize work effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and Google Suite tools.
- Leadership positions in extracurricular groups or activities.

For Dallas, TX-based roles: The base hourly rate amount for this role is USD$23.00 per hour.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base hourly rate amount for this role is USD$28.00 per hour.
