Career Education Specialist

Students in this position serve their peers by providing career education in drop-ins and through presentations. Drop-ins are 15-minute 1:1 meetings with students that cover an array of topics including; career exploration, job/internship search, on-campus job search and preparation, interview preparation, resume/cover letter feedback, and graduate school preparation. Drop-ins are Tuesday-Friday 11 am-3 pm. Specialists are also responsible for offering workshops to students on similar career topics. Workshop presentations are created for the Specialist during their first year in the position and then are expected to create their own with support from their supervisor. Specialists are also expected to engage in all student staff training and bi-weekly meetings with the team.
