Usher - Music Production (Work Study Only)
Join our Claire Trevor School of the Arts (CTSA) team as a Music Production Limited Hire. Your role will require you to provide front of house and backstage crew support for CTSA’s music school’s events. Set-up and break down of stage equipment, general maintenance of stage and auditorium spaces. Additionally, you are to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for patrons. As an usher, you will assist in verifying tickets, crowd control, guide patrons to their seats, and provide information and support as needed. You will interact with students, faculty, guest performers and audience members. You will serve as an ambassador for the Claire Trevor School of the Arts.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Stage Set-Up: Assist in the setup of the stage with the guidance of the Production Manager
- Ticket Verification: Collect and validate event tickets from attendees via CTSA scanners.
- Patron Assistance: Greet and assist patrons in finding their seats, as well as directing patrons to amenities such as restrooms. Assist guests with limited mobility or special requirements to the respective seats.
- Safety and Tidiness: Maintain clear, tidy, and safe aisles, walkways, and seating areas.
- Guest Relations: Address guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
- Adaptability: Be flexible in performing additional duties required for the event’s success.
- Injury Reports: In the case of a minor injury, submitting an injury report on behalf of the patron.
Physical Requirements:
- Expect prolonged periods of standing and walking, if possible
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds with assistance.
