WHO WE ARE

LineWorks Engineering is an engineering design and consulting firm specializing in the electric utility industry (transmission, distribution and lighting). We have offices in Alabama (Birmingham), Florida (Tampa) and Georgia (Atlanta).

WHAT YOU WILL DO

LineWorks Engineering is seeking talented civil and electrical engineering students for our 2024 summer internship program. Working under the direction of our engineers and designers, we offer you the opportunity to see how your academic background is utilized in the real world. Over the course of 8 weeks, our interns will gain first-hand exposure to all of our business lines through field visits, data collection, assisting in the preparation of engineering calculations, participating in design review of engineering drawings and much more!

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in civil or electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited university
• Must be a rising junior or senior with an expected graduation date in Fall 2024, Spring 2025, Fall 2025 or Spring 2026
• Ability to effectively interact with all levels of personnel and management and thrive in a team environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Interest in the electric utility or power delivery industry
• GPA 3.0 or higher
• Previous internship experience in the utility or power delivery field
• Proficient in computer and software skills including Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiar with design/drafting software such as AutoCAD
