Sustainability Coordinator

The Sustainability Coordinator supports the implementation of sustainability and impact programs for Eco-Products. In collaboration with the Sustainability Manager, this position works interdepartmentally to understand business impacts and needs to provide effective support with sustainability information and tools. From data collection to education and engagement and sales support – the Sustainability Coordinator touches every aspect of the business and supports our aspiration to be the most socially and environmentally responsible foodservice packaging company in the world.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and manage ESG, market, and product related data to support prioritization of strategies, development of reports, sales tools, awards, certifications, compliance obligations, and storytelling opportunities.
  • Support Marketing in developing the annual Impact Report, and with content development efforts around impact and circularity, waste diversion, education, and customer and composter successes.
  • Track emerging legislation and organize communications with teams about relative business tasks, potential impact to markets, and training to employees and customers.
  • Lead employee engagement and culture around sustainability, DE&I and impact by managing sustainability related communications and meetings.
  • Engage with stakeholders to address advocacy around composting and recycling circularity infrastructure, innovative end-of-life solutions for products, legislation, and how Eco-Products can be an integral component of the circular economy.
  • Fine tune the Operational Sustainability program, measuring and managing impacts of corporate operations and business travel. To include developing an Environmental Management System.
  • Respond to customer and industry requests and identify trends to support proactive communications from Eco-Products on potential pressing issues.
  • Manage and conduct sustainability, impact or legislation presentations and trainings for both internal and external audiences. May range from employees, to industry associations and composters.

This is a full- time, exempt position in a hybrid office / remote environment based in Boulder, Colorado. Some travel is required.

Qualifications: Experience, Competencies and Education

  • 2+ years' business experience in Sustainability or ESG related work
  • A solid understanding of ESG best practices
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to identify task opportunities and needs
  • Legislative and regulatory knowledge a plus
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills including intermediate to advanced skills using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • BS/BA degree in Business, Communications, Sustainability, Environmental Management Studies or a related field preferred
