Here is how the Land Acquisitions Intern role will impact our business:
As a Land Acquisitions Intern, you will be working alongside EQT’s West Virginia & Ohio Land Acquisition team, whose primary job responsibilities include (1) clearing wells on EQT’s operations schedule for drilling, (2) the day-to-day energy land management of EQT’s core inventory of currently producing and future planned wells and (3) serve as the public facing side of our company, meeting with mineral owners and stake holders in the communities in which we operate.
The Intern responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Drafting and negotiating new oil and gas leases and other related agreements.
- Reviewing lease obligations on EQT’s core inventory of currently producing and future planned wells.
- Working and collaborating with multiple sub-departments within EQT, including but not limited to, Operations Planning, Permitting, Title, Business Development, Land Administration, Division Order, Legal and Owner Relations toward a common goal of clearing wells on EQT’s operations schedule for drilling.
- It is expected the candidate will add value to our department, and our company by contributing new ideas and fresh perspectives and applying them to the day-to-day development related dilemmas we face and decisions we make.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Energy Land Management, Petroleum Land Management, Project Management, Energy Law, Coal, Oil and gas Law
- Required degree: Pursuing a degree in Energy Land Management, Petroleum Land Management, Business Administration, or a Master’s in Business Administration or pursing a Juris Doctorate, preferably with a concentration in either Energy Law or Coal, Oil and gas Law
- Experience working on projects in Energy, Coal, Oil and Gas or other related experience where project management and an acute attention to detail were required.
Remote work is being considered for this role excluding the following states: Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Louisiana, New Jersey, and New York.
